Call to Arms – Gates of Hell: Ostfront version 17 has recently been published by developer Barbedwire Studios and publisher Digitalmindsoft. The latest patch seems to bring a lot of improvements to the game, and the full release notes can be seen below. If you’ve been having problems with the game since the previous update, this patch should help you out.

- New units have been added. - For the late-war Soviet Union, the lend-lease ideology was added.
- Winter skins now have the ability to alter complete meshes, not just textures, thanks to a new mesh-texmod functionality. Please see the explanation below.
- New human soldier 3d models and hat 3d models have been included.
- On winter maps, multiplayer troops now get winter skins and models.
- Soldiers’ helmets now get winter skins on winter maps.
- When picking your men to cover, you now have the option to modify the spacing between their covers by clicking and dragging. This prevents troops from forming a huddle.
- Tanks now have interaction code that allows them to be destroyed (non-repairable) by pierce and blast damage rather than always exploding.
- More vehicle fire and death effects have been added.
- Vehicles in the automobile and truck classes now have a “crew stun” function (crews can be stunned by pierce and blast damage).
- Cars and trucks now have new fuel tank damage effects and death interactions. External automotive fuel tanks may now be targeted.
- New gun sights for British vehicles have been added.
- The 50-caliber M2 has been added, with with new noises and a muzzle effect.
- BESA MG has been added.
- 1v1 Crossing, a new MP map, has been added.
- 2v2 Gelid has been added as a new MP map.
- 2v2 Courtyard has been added as a new MP map.
- 4v4 Dubovka has been added as a new MP map.
- Vitebsk 4v4 has been added as a new MP map.
- Krasny Bor is a new campaign assignment for Germany.
- Courland pocket has been added as a new campaign assignment for the USSR.
- Soldiers of the blue division now have a Spanish nationality.
- A blue category has been added. singleplayer tends to breed
- A new Spanish voice actor has been added.
- A new voice actor from the Soviet Union has been added.
- For lend lease vehicles, british smoke launchers have been included.
- Water fx on the water barrel now include sound effects.
- For singleplayer night missions, an illumination signal flare has been included.
- New sounds for browning M19 have been added.
- New Texmods have been added to the Soviet urban building (sov 2st build1).
- Metal break noises have been added to car/truck engine, body, and turret break occurrences.
- When cars/trucks are demolished (driven over) by tanks, a tranquil explosion effect is added to play.
- In conquest, added player soldier speak warnings when near a mine sign/minefield; this talk may randomize and repeat if the player is near another minefield (same one will not be warned again).
- Camo textures for the 88mm Flak36 have been added.
- The Opel Maultier now has a suspension system.
- Some dx11 shader cache files have been added.
- 2v2 industry now has a weather selection.

- If the tank drivers are near enough or the driver hatch is blocked, they may enter and escape via other hatches.
- Updated AI targetting logic — Unless HE is already loaded in the chamber, player-controlled weapons will not convert to HE to assault infantry.
- Updated AI’s selection of cannon ammunition for different targets has been improved.
- Blast damage and radius formulas for Mortar and Cannon HE shells have been updated to account for shell weight and filler quantity.
- Texture mip logic has been updated to ensure that first-person reticles are not damaged at lower graphic settings.

- Several automobiles and trucks with firearms that had the wrong targetclass were fixed. As a consequence, AI targeting of these vehicles should improve.
- On multiplayer, the cannon state sync was fixed.
- Refueling has been fixed in multiplayer.
- The display of bazooka icons inside a squad has been corrected.
- Fire effects that are extinguished by water have been fixed.
- Logics for thickness and penetration have been fixed.
- Fixed the hull machine gun sdkfz234 2 (puma) from MG34 to MG42.
- When the war stage changes, the doctrine is no longer chosen incorrectly.
- Doctrine pricing were fixed, but they were inconsistent.
- Humans no longer appear in the centre of the map during conquering (made active when linked in a vehicle)
- Vehicles now have a fixed conquest MG linkage.
- Overhead vehicle icons were missing and were now fixed.

- In gaz aaa 72k, the commander and charger chairs are fixed.
- Flak 30 invisible suspension (fixed flak)
- Flak 30 repair animation has been corrected.
- Cannon sandbags were no longer visible in the fog of battle.
- When spawning on snow or ice terrain, cannon sandbags now have a winter texture.
- With a few basic environment components, we were able to fix collision difficulties.
- Some texture problems have been resolved.
- In conquest, the crew count for Sig33B has been corrected.
- To avoid cars from clipping through the sides of the wood bridge, fixed volumes and obstructions were included.

- Fixed the localization so that’mud’ terrain is no longer referred to as’snow.’

- When on the ground and empty/out of ammunition, the bazooka and AT-rifles are now collectible.

- T34 series hatch noises have been fixed.
- When a tank’s body component is shattered, its durability is increased, allowing for fresh death occurrences to occur.
- Passengers on t-40, t60, and t-26-1939 increased.
- Car and truck armor’s durability has been reduced by 20%.
- When a rotation command comes through, the binoculars are no longer stowed away. You may now utilize this command without fear of the military confiscating your binoculars.
- Duplicate pak36 and pak38 AT weapons were removed from the library.
