Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) from 343 Industries is a fantastic collection that includes all of John-117’s adventures as well as noteworthy entries like Halo: Reach, however one game is missing: Halo 5: Guardians. Despite Microsoft’s desire to extend the Halo experience to PC players, the fifth major Halo installment is still restricted to Xbox platforms, despite its release on October 27, 2015.
Unfortunately for Halo fans hoping for a more comprehensive collection, this isn’t going to change anytime soon.
343 Industries’ community director, Brian Jarrard, has said that there are “no plans” to bring Halo 5: Guardians to the PC platform. Jarrard said that the developer is well aware of the desire for it, but 343 Industries would rather concentrate its resources on Halo: Infinite and the MCC’s current lineup of games.
Jarrard confirmed in a tweet earlier this week, “[…] never say never, but nothing going presently.”
Perhaps this was for “H5:Forge,” but I can confirm that H5 will not be released on PC. We’re aware that there’s a desire for it, but as we’ve previously said, it’s not in the cards since the studio is now focusing on Infinite and MCC. Never say never, but there is presently nothing in the works.

Halo 5: Guardians is now available on Xbox consoles, however it will not get a next-gen update for Xbox Series X|S consoles that would allow for better frame rates or other interesting enhancements. The reason for this is unknown, although Halo 5 already benefits from quicker loading times and higher-resolution gaming on Microsoft’s newest technology, according to 343 Industries.
