Amazon’s New World MMO Is Still Bricking NVIDIA Graphics Cards, According to Some Users

NVIDIA graphics cards are the most popular among gamers, with a large number of gamers having invested in them to get the best performance. However, some users have been reporting that they’re still getting bricked by Amazon’s new World MMO, despite its release being over a week ago.

Latest World, Amazon’s new open-world MMO, debuted on Tuesday, but complaints continue to pour in from users claiming that the game may brick costly NVIDIA graphics cards. Among these are concerns about the r/newworldgame forum, as well as reports from German hardware blogs like WinFuture, which recently disclosed that New World bricked one of its GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3090 GPUs in a recent post. This is said to have happened when the creator just closed the game.

However, it seems that different triggers continue to place such a load on the susceptible EVGA and Gigabyte graphics cards that a hardware breakdown may occur. The fans scream at their maximum volume, the screen goes dark, and the computer shuts down.

PowerGPU, a firm that has been manufacturing custom PCs since 1999, has released another alarming study. Customers have been sending PowerGPU emails claiming that their GPUs have stopped working after attempting to play New World. Some people claim that their graphics cards failed before they could even get to the main menu.
